Warm up round the loch with the FVH kids in Callendar Park. Kids did 5 x Hill loop as session.

Trail Running 11:55 [1] 1.2 mi (9:56 / mi) +10m 9:41 / mi

Easy warm down round the loch.

Trail Running 57:06 [4] 7.17 mi (7:58 / mi) +340m 6:56 / mi

Run from the house direct up Cockleroi via the north face (27.15). Ran back via Balvormie, Loch Car Park and Hill House. Started steady but ran fairly hard from the golf course onwards. Fields were quite muddy in huts on the climb. Fairly mild and breezy. Felt OK. Ears improving at last and first day for over a month I feel like I don't have a cold, almost.

Corstorphine Hill via Golf Course, Balgreen climb, loop round the south top, and back via Ravelston. Paths on the climb and round the loop pretty muddy, much worse than earlier in the week. Nice sunny day though & windy.

Balvormie loop via buzzard path, wood edge and archery with Hanna. Very windy in places though reasonably sheltered.

Cockleroi direct from the house via Hill House. Took it fairly easy. Mild & windy but at least beat the rain.

Run round the loch from home. Steady start to the year.

Orienteering race 18:58 [4] 2.33 mi (8:08 / mi) +100m 7:11 / mi

Resolution Sprint Orienteering in Bo'ness.
Fairly solid and fairly steady effort round the course. Not really fit enough to run aggressively. Enjoyed the course. Didn't lose that much time other than should've stayed high to #11 as steps were slow, and a bit indecisive to #14 though ended up doing an OK route. Quite a hilly and interesting area. Had to go steady on the corners as speedcross were a bit lethal. Fun start to the year.

Warm down reversing the course to #11 and back, trying to find Hanna and Tracey, but they evaded me.

Run direct to Cockleroi and back. Frosty & sunny - nice.

Trail Running 17:11 [1] 1.84 mi (9:20 / mi) +30m 8:53 / mi

Trail run with Hanna from Balvormie. Same loop as last week via Buzzard Path and Archery. Over a minute faster. Great last run of the year.

Up Ravelston to Corrie Hill, then went along the ridge to the far end back via the East Beast. Nice run. A bit muddy but not too bad. Still got blocked ears and coughing stuff up a bit but hopefully one day will be 100% better.
