Trail Running 1:01:12 [4] 8.35 mi (7:20 / mi) +200m 6:49 / mi

Run from Bantaskine with Kane, Ben & Ewan (FVH juniors). Excellent trail run, mainly on quiet bike trails, lots of zig zagging about. Kane set a fair pace at times and quite enjoyed going with it. They were just doing 10k so added on a couple of miles at the end. Another cracking morning for running. Legs quite tired after, but two good trail runs under the belt will hopefully boost fitness.

Trail Running 1:08:28 [3] 9.17 mi (7:28 / mi) +310m 6:45 / mi

Run to Cockleroi via sports centre and direct back. Ran fairly hard though not difficult given fitness. Absolutely perfect conditions, cool temps, sunshine and crystal clear. If only every morning was like this!

Hill Running 16:54 [3] 1.12 mi (15:06 / mi) +310m 8:07 / mi

Usual fairly rushed climb up to the start of the Caerketton Doonhiller. Made it with around 3mins to spare. Thankfully the rain had stopped and it had brightened up, but was very windy/cool on the top. Gutted to find I'd forgotten my phone (left it on roof of car!), so no action shots, but also lucky Scott Seefeldt's wife was up on the hill taking photos anyway.

Hill Running 7:25 [3] 1.12 mi (6:37 / mi) +10m 6:27 / mi

Once everyone had started I waited a bit then 'swept' the course. The back-marker was struggling on the steep bit so ended up over-taking. Would love to have been racing but too much of a risk to the knee as would've got carried away! Next year...

Conditions pretty tricky as it was slippy after the rain. Most enjoyable event to organise as ever, and decent turn out this year.

Road Running 18:09 [4] 3.05 mi (5:57 / mi) +10m 5:53 / mi

Session round Warriston triangle - 3 x 3min, 2min, 1min (1min). Took it pretty steady though still hard enough given lack of fitness. Just pleased to be able to run ok.

Road Running 19:10 [2] 2.46 mi (7:47 / mi) +50m 7:20 / mi

Run back up to work
6 PM

Trail Running 16:56 [3] 2.08 mi (8:09 / mi) +100m 7:05 / mi

Hill session in Callendar Park with the FVH kids led by Angela. I got doing the ‘downhill technique’ section! Great turn out of over 20 U11/U13’s and all super keen.
