Devils Burdens Relay - Leg 3 with Mike Reid
Set of at a decent pace up the steep climb. Had expected Mike to give me a hard time but I was leading the pace. Maybe didn't get the best line below the crags but re-overtook the boggies who left it late climbing up to the right. Rest of the leg was similar, legs felt great but Mike was struggling so had to keep easing off. Only on the very last descent did we hit full tilt. Still a solid performance and Mike dug deep. Had a 30sec delay around the valley crossing after Mike followed boggies down the track as I was punching the control and had to shout him back (across the deep heather!). Still beat the boggies to the gate despite the time loss, though they passed us again on the next climb. 2nd vets team behind the Shetts who were well ahead. Conditions a bit wet and windy but it was relatively mild and wind was generally behind. At least legs not as trashed as expected. Another very enjoyable Burdens. Great that the A team won.

Ran up the bog then to the top of AS via the Tom R climb which was a new route for me. Headed to Nether then round to pipers and up crags to finish. Ran with Derek. Took it fairly easy. Lovely & sunny with great views to the snowy hills further north though slippy in bits and some very claggy mud, especially on crags climb.
