Warm up prior to the Ochils 8 relay. Unfortunately the rain kicked in more or less as leg 1 got underway so a wet recce to above the crags on the Wee Torry final descent. Fairly ropey just trying to run down it steady!

Ochils 8 Relay - Leg 2
In a Carnethy Vets team with lunch running buddies Stewart (leg 1) and Dessie (leg 3). Expected Stewart to go well on return from the Alps, though as the leaders came in from Leg 1 it became apparent a few folk had gone astray off the Nebit in thick mist. Turns out Stewart was leading there and went very off line. Thankfully he finished though set off fairly well down though with a couple of fast teams not far behind who'd also followed Stewart! Made good pace up the Glen then hit the steep walking climb up into the mist. Nice route up through a gully. Gordon Lennox of Forres was bearing down on me but managed to maintain a gap of 20 secs or so to the top then threw myself down Wee Torry as fast as possible. Really was treacherous given the rain. Felt like a decent run (2nd fastest on leg, 37secs down on Gordon) and handed over to Dessie. He ran well though he ended up adding Ben Ever to the route (along with Kyle Greg and few others due to some markings being moved). Still managed 5th team overall and 1st vets. Tough day for everyone. Hopefully it'll run again though having every leg finish down Wee Torry probably needs a rethink!

Run from the house up to the sports centre, canal, Beecraigs, Cockleroi, Loch car park and back by Avalon Gardens. Nice easy run on a very pleasant morning for running.

Went to the ESOC CATI at Blackford Hill with Hanna and did the White & Yellow courses (22mins & 36mins). Good fun going round with Hanna. White course was better as it didn't have the mad steep narrow descent down through the gorse which had to carry Hanna much of the way down on the yellow. Luckily the Hartman's beat us round the white and got the finish relocated to the right place before we got there.

2 sets of Oregon Circuits (20secs on/off). Couldn't do sit ups/press ups due to ribs. Did one extra set of mountain climbers. Joined by Cameron, Kev & Paddy.

Run back including Stockbridge loop.

Run from the boulder up the bog, pipers scramble, nether, tourist descent, dasses and finish on the crags. Went quite quick on first climb then steadier after that. Still pretty muggy/warm. Out with Dessie, Kev & Cameron.
