JHI trial open race at Dounans (Aberfoyle). Ran 'with' the U20 race though they disappeared off fast at the start. Only ran as only chance of a run today so started off steady. Once climbing though got into it and had Tom Harris not too far ahead for most of the race. Course did a loop on the middle of the Hill before climbing to the top and down again. Pretty muddy in places which didn't favour the trail shoe choice. Loved the fast descending, fastest mile 4.45. OK run overall. Winner Ross Gollan in 30.39.

Run to Corstorphine Hill and back with Marco, Fionna and Cameron. Went a slightly longer route than usual staying on the WoL until the cyclepath then cut up onto Ravelston Dykes. Ran directly back via Dean Path.

Started very conservatively as had low level knee niggle since running home with heavy pack on Friday. Knee warmed up and was fine so picked the pace up, but nothing too hard. Pace variation from 6.08min/mile to 5.33m/m. Sunny and dry with moderate west wind.
