Note
(rest day)

Yet another rest day. Cold worse today and suspect it's a different cold, just as I was getting over the first one! Annoying as felt quite good yesterday.

Hill Running 1:47:12 [3] 10.6 mi (10:07 / mi) +930m 7:57 / mi

More or less same route as Monday, from Alva up the landrover track to Ben Buck, dropped down the north side of Ben Cleuch (last of the snow much diminished) and traversed across to Andrew Gannel. Headed up Kingseat cutting round north flank before heading to the summit. Descended to finish at Tilli shops. Ran with Marco. Climbed at a decent pace, legs feeling good. Just a shame lungs aren't get rid of the crap in a hurry, longest lingering cold ever. Nice day out in largely sunny conditions though a cool NW wind.

Started from Alva Glen then up the landrover track to Ben Buck Burn. Followed the burn up and went over the Ben Buck/Cleuch shallow col. Dropped down a wide northerly spur of Ben Cleuch to about 580m where I found one of the remaining old snow patches. Traversed SE towards Andrew Gannel summit then on to Kingseat. Cut round to the north flank to check out the remaining snow in the steep gullies. Cut over the top then down to finish at Tilli shops. Hunt for the old snow a good excuse to explore off the beaten track. Kept pace relatively easy using HRM. Lungs still got a bit of crap in them though run helped clear it!
