Biking (Beach Dr) 1:40:03 [3] 33.7 km (2:58 / km) +185m2:53 / km ahr:146 max:179
time to up the time i exercise this week now that I've got my bike- i think that I'm going to try going for a looot of time (like 2 hours a day) with low intensity on the weeks when I'm at my mom's house, so basically focusing on a ton of biking, and then on weeks I'm at my dad's house I'll focus more on running/higher intensity, still trying to get about 30 mins- 1 hour a day in. Kind of because at my dad's I can't really bike, and at my mom's I'm really sick of running in the areas near the condo, so I'd have to bike a bit anyways to get to terrain I'd be willing to run on. Like, yes, there's not really much variation at my dad's, but there I feel less frustrated when I run on the same thing over and over- I guess partially because it's on pavement and I don't see as many people there.
back at my mom's house, so i get to bike again. Plus it's an easier week for school, so the training hours are about to go uppppp-

running-wise, i did okay. I definitely could've done better, but I can't be angry. I was actually able to run up a few of the hills this time (moreso in the first half). But for how hilly this park is, I really can't complain.
I messed up #2 a bit, I was too much to the right and then traversed the hillside too low, so I did a bit of a loop around the control. It wasn't too horrible, but it definitely cost me a few minutes. On #3, I was still a bit frustrated about the mistake, because when I got to the reentrant with the control in it, I started looking for the control and the bouler about 100-150m too early, which cost me about a minute. Then I did a quick breathing exercise in an attempt to reset my focus, and it helped.
After that, I only really lost focus on the way to #8, after passing the water pits i really have no clue where I crossed the stream and how I got to the control, but I made it, so I lucked out.
Overall, I think my compass work was pretty good, there were several legs on which I used a bearing, so that's good. Improvement on that part- also I think I didn't lose too much time on river crossings, so that's good. Only the first time I was crossing Quantico Creek I went around over to the bridge which probably cost me some time- definitely some distance- because the river looked too deep for me to cross there.
I weirdly enough felt like I was dehydrated more than usual on the course, even though I drank a lot more water than I usually do yesterday and in the morning. Maybe it was because i didn't eat anything before going on the course. I really need to fix my eating- i rarely have an appetite anymore, but when I do, i could eat anything and everything. Just like my training, it's all or nothing.
oh noooo i'm slipping again, i thought i was getting better but having people around me who constantly remind me that i'm not and that according to them i was a better person a year ago is really not helping-
Note (rest day)
yeah not happening. i feel bad about it but i really just...well...no

So, uh, the last 5 km took 15 minutes... We went on the biking trail in Green Ridge on the other way around than we were before: big mistake. We ended up climbing up the biggest hill there, and we had to walk up the entire last hill because it was just too steep, the terrain was too iffy, and it was way too long. At the top, right before getting to the road, there was a short section that we physically could bike on, and my dad took advantage of that, and broke a lever on his rear gear shifter. We tried to have me bike back to the car and drive up to pick him up, but I didn't have a map on me so I was going by memory of what I've seen on my dad's phone. Unfortunately I went incorrectly (so did my dad), so at one point I got very confused and while I was trying to figure out where to go, my dad caught up to me. (he could still go downhill, just couldn't pedal at all). So, I ended up not having to drive to pick him up, since it was basically just downhill the whole time. it was a time...

Running intervals 17:17 2.4 km (7:12 / km) +45m6:35 / km
pathetic attempt at intervals, i thought i could do 3 4x 650m with 200m rest, but i ended up only doing it 3 times and the second time i had to walk for a few seconds halfway through. First interval pace was 5:09/km, but i clearly pushed too hard because i ended up doing 5:49/km on both of the next intervals.
honestly i just feel like crap today, not even sore or anything, just extremely...idk how to describe it.
