VHI individual (Brown course for M35 and M40). Feeling sprightly. Caught sight of Ant my 5 minute man in the distance on the way to #4 (he’d had a small miss earlier) and then hunted him down over the long 3km leg to #5. Pulled away around #10. Won course by two mins from Rich Robinson with Steve Feltbower and Will Hensman not far behind. A good day out.

Right hamstring a bit sore, think I tweaked it a bit on the relays and bouldering probably didn’t help.

VHI relays. Last leg in MWM relay, went out in second, 20 metres behind Will Hensman. To and fro for half the course, then he went another way, I assumed different gaffle, turned out it was a wander, I threw in some more wobbles and he was close behind before spectator, but then I got away again to run to victory!
