Running race 37:06 intensity: (1:02 @1) + (44 @2) + (6:16 @3) + (28:59 @4) + (5 @5) 9.38 km (3:57 / km)

Stockton Duathlon! Not usually my sort of thing, but my brother said he fancied doing a triathlon in the summer, so I thought maybe I'd join in, and if so I ought to get some practice. Never done a multi-sport thing like this with transitions, indeed never really done any competitive road biking. 10km run (two laps) / 40km bike (siz laps) / 5km run. First run went ok, feeling good (achilles has been aching a bit though).

Cycling race 1:14:50 intensity: (1:09 @2) + (27:08 @3) + (22:43 @4) + (23:50 @5) 37.02 km (2:01 / km) +21m 2:01 / km

Everyone seems to have a better bike than me? I guess I bought mine ~20 years ago now, and certainly without anything like this in mind. People seemed to be whizzing past me (but hard to tell with a multi-lap course). Got a bit cold and miserable, and could hardly put my shoes on in transition after biking!

Running race 19:18 intensity: (6:49 @3) + (12:23 @4) + (6 @5) 4.72 km (4:05 / km)
ahr:160 max:169 shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus 19

Second run. Sluggish to start as you'd expect after biking, and being cold. But got into it, and due to losing places on the bike I was gaining them again on the run. Felt ok at the end. Glutes really aching though. Not sure where I placed yet, but happy to have done it. Now just need to learn how to swim...

Easy run in the woods. Quads felt really bad last few days from fell race, could hardly walk!
