O training with Pippa and Bilbo from Force Mills, into Grizedale and Stony Hazel. Trains with 5 loops, with me doing a bit more than Bilbo who did a bit more than Pippa - good training, didn't win any of them, but some good chases near the end after taking longer legs than them.

MTB with Pippa from Danby into North York Moors, Lealholm, Danby Beacon. Nice moorland tracks. Helped out a couple of road bikers near the end who had a puncture and the gas canister powered pump wasn't working, so leant our pump.

Sunderland Bridge and Croxdale Woods steady. Right Achilles really sore, and causing calf to tighten up (or the other way round - tight calf causing Achilles to be sore?).

An exciting exploration. Up to Frankland than along disused railway to Belmont viaduct. Had previously approached from Kepier Woods (east) side, and that end is all blocked off with a serious metal fence which would pretty adventurous to get over or round the side (over a 100ft drop...). But from west side there is a gap and you can get onto and across the bridge (to the other side of the fence at the east side). Fun. Then returned along interesting riverbank path. Met two blokes who politely told me there was no right of way, one said he was the farmer and also the "water bailiff" for that stretch of river (sounds like a pirate?), was very nice, but probably shouldn't go that way again.

My heart rate monitor on watch is rubbish, claims I had super high HR all the way which is clearly not the case!
