Walked up Ben Cruachan via an easy gully, then along the ridge to Stob Diamh, and back down. A fine sunny day, with an icy wind when it blew.

Walking in Scotland with Shane. My train up was delayed, so didn't set out till after 3pm, and Shane needed >5hrs for his winter ML training log, so head torches were required, but it was a fine clear night and all good fun. Climbed Beinn Eunaich and Beinn a'Chochuill. Also found an exciting entrance to the tunnels into Ben Cruachan for the hydro scheme - could have gone in for miles. Camped out.

8 * 1 mile reps round Gilesgate Moor, 1 minute recoveries. Times 5:49, 5:49, 5:55, 5:49, 5:59, 5:49, 6:01, 6:01. Feeling good. Strava says on this run I did my best ever 20k (1:18:06), 10 mile (1:01:26), 15k (56:54) and 10k (37:28). The last one I know isn't true (did a 35:26 in Middlesbrough 10km road race in 2009 - one of only a couple of ever proper road races I've done?), but others might be true.

Run out to Sunderland Bridge then hill reps in Croxdale Woods. 3:15, 3:31, 3:37, 3:36, 3:41. Bit slower than last time I did this a month ago, but did 5 reps instead of 4. Feeling pretty sluggish by the time I got home - it is a long round trip out there and back.
