This was a relay simulation, mass start, some gaffling, men had some extra controls to keep people together. I ran with a GoPro to get some footage maybe for WOC promotion. It was all a bit of an effort for me "BGR shuffle" pace, but fortunately some controls were down in depressions, and I could just skirt round the sides (to get the best video shots obviously). All good fun.

Control hanging on Creag Leach for the Hungarian's middle distance WOC test race, which we were also running for some race practice. Beautiful forest.

Control hanging in Achtemarack. Slopping orienteering from me, not helped by the new extraction lanes (but that is just an excuse).

Spending the week in Inverness area helping control hanging etc. with the SEDS / GBR team on a training camp. Today was at Achilty, one of the WOC model areas. I hung half the loop and continued round the rest. Once you got up the hill it felt like a beautifully remote wilderness area, semi-open, fairly heavy going in the heather. The fastest bits were what were mapped with green undergrowth screen but were actually dead bracken.
