Orienteering race 1:16:00 [4] 10.69 km (7:07 / km) +428m 5:56 / km
shoes: VJ Supra

SROC Northern Champs, and UK Orienteering League. 1st on M21L (no elite course). Really pleased with this result (probably more so than for winning the JK M35L). It'll get my name on the trophy for the 5th time - most wins of anyone since it started in 1972. Won by 5 seconds from Oli, and less than a minute from Ben Stevens (everyone else 5+ minutes). Several, including Oli, did the Coniston fell race yesterday, whereas I "just" did the middle distance (so e.g. Jonny Crickmore well down). Quite a lot of switching the leads between us top three in the course, all making mistakes here and there as well as getting fastest splits. I pushed very hard in the last couple of controls, and turns out I got my 5s from Oli on the run-in (10s to his 15s)!

Orienteering race 42:51 [4] 6.43 km (6:40 / km) +279m 5:29 / km
shoes: VJ Supra

LOC middle race, and UK Orienteering League, Summerhouse Knott. 1st on black course. Good run technically, in control, just a few wobbles. Feeling strong. Not huge amount of competition (several others doing the Coniston Fell Race today).

Running hills 1:02:12 intensity: (34:12 @3) + (28:00 @5) 10.1 km (6:09 / km) +304m 5:21 / km
shoes: Nike Vomero 7

Drills and 4 warm-up hills (30s), then 4 * rep from bottom steps, along bottom woods, up middle track, and back to top of steps. 5:13, 5:13, 5:25, 5:30. About 30s slower than when I did this session last September (4:49, 4:54, 4:56, 4:58). Tired from run on Sunday maybe, and also perhaps still a bit from the JK. Also I was wearing trainers as it was nice out, but a bit squidgy in the mud in places.

Steady run, Aykley Heads and Frankland prison. Tired from yesterday's run, but that is to be expected.
