Well I'm nothing if not consistent lol. This was also not a great run but wow it was such a pretty day out and the woods were soooo nice.

1-3. Smooth. Altho I should have contoured on 3, probably lost 20s from climbing.
4. The beginning of many errors. Parallel errored into the southernmost gully, had to go all the way around to hit 4. Abt 2 min lost.
5. Ugh. Overshot, misread the clues and thought this was at the bottom of a gully (it wasn't), had to climb back up. Again, probably 2-3 min lost.
6. Not bad just hella slow
11. Should have simplified this route. Ended up scrambling through the ridges slowly and not super accurately for the first 400ish meters. Way too much climb. Entering the control wasn't smooth, either. About 3 min lost here.
13. This was frustrating. Ended up 1 spur over to the south and had to sprint back to hit 13. 3 min lost.
16. Overshot, had to backtrack. 1 min lost.
20. Should have stayed high to avoid extra climb. 40s lost.
25. Not as confident as I should have been, took it a lot slower than necessary. 30s lost.

In total: About 14min lost. Blech.

Saturday Classic. Didn't make any major terrible mistakes, but I'm definitely less in orienteering shape than I thought I was. Ugh.

A quick analysis:
1-5. Some hesitation but overall a good start
6. lmao here we go. Parallel errored this control pretty good. Got off course probably in the green and ended up in the creek north of 6. Corrected after about 30-45s of matching things up and had to climb back up the saddle and down into the reentrant to hit 6. In total probably 3 minutes lost.
7, 8. Very slow but accurate
9. Parallel errored in the northern reentrant, caught the mistake quickly and corrected to result in maybe a minute worth of lost time, at most.
11. I am dumb and need to use my compass better in the green. 1 min here for drifting a bunch.
14. idk if I made the right route choice. there was so much climb. but it also looks like there was no way to not have to climb a bunch so that's that.
15. Lol this was a disaster. Got confused about halfway in, thought I was further than I actually was and started to 180, realized that my compass was off and corrected. Lots of confusion and slowly trying to reorient. 2 min lost at least.
22. Little bit of hesitation entering the circle, maybe 10-15s
24. The green always kills me. Got off track, too much east I think. Found the knoll and got back on track. Probs 2 min lost here.
25-end. Pretty alright

Estimated time lost: 9:15

Takeaway: Need to use compass more in green spots. Also I shoulda run red, this was exhausting.

Middle. Not super clean.

1. Didn't read the map well enough and approached too low, had to climb more than desired to hit the control
2, 5, 6, 7. Some hesitation and and not smoothly entering/exiting the control circle, especially at 6 and 7. About 15s, 10s, 40s, 50s lost, respectively.
9. Big dumb route choice. Chose to go close to the line and had to fumble through the green, ended up having to climb to the control. Should have gone high and dropped.
13. Oooh this was not great. Exited 12 a little too fast and ended up drifting south and having to bushwhack through some heinous green downhill to get to 13. Lost probably 2 minutes in that mess.
14. Little bit of hesitation entering the circle

In total, probably 5:20 lost from mistakes and hesitation. It was fun though.
