London City Race - Euro Youth W18/20 (Women's Open) - 5.9km

Very technical, not a great result but mostly happy with the navigation and enjoyed it :) Didn't start too well, messing up no. 2 awfully - managed to go under a building through an unmarked tunnel and then ran up and down the road trying to work out the levels (lost ~6mins) really annoyed. Running well through the next few, only losing time on hesitations. To no. 10 I cut through a weird way to avoid a crowd of tourists but ended up disorientating myself and then struggling to cross the road and nearly getting taken out by a bunch of cyclists. Next few were good. Went into the Barbican at 16 and spent far too long working out how to get in but managed it well. 18 was just annoying having to drop two levels and loop through the tunnel. 21 I was hoping to find a shortcut through as I couldn't quite work out which dots I was trying to find, but ended up just looping back through the same tunnel again. For the last control lots of people seemed to struggle, but we'd spent so long studying the area mapped in the final details trying to work out the multi-levels that I could remember the route pretty much exactly.

Very hot, very slow. Really annoyed about how bad this was, felt decent but seem to be going backwards.
