Harvester Relay - B Course - Leg 3 (No gaffle)

Some awful prep, dad missed his alarm so was a tiny bit late to the start which meant I was rather paranoid about doing the same so didn't really get any more sleep after 2.30. Was up and ready by about 3.30 and actually really up for it. Of course then dad went and had a disaster run (2 1/2 hours+) so I didn't even run till about 5 ish in the end, meaning I had to ditch my torch because it was light by then..

Had been stood around long enough to know to be cautious to the first control so took it slow- still managed to faff around a bit working out what path I was on. Lost ~2.30 then had a good clean run, I mean it was orange so it wasn't exactly difficult.. Enjoyed it and felt like I was running fairly well too:)

Lots of issues with control locations, control hanging, the planning, felling in the woods and the lines not being cut on the map which obviously did cause lots of problems but didn't really affect me too much running round the paths ;)

QE Parkrun - Worst time in about a year.

Well this is pretty shameful. Don't really know what happened- started so well and then just felt awful, couldn't get any speed up, ankles started to twinge and just urgh. I blame exams/revision... Hopefully from half term I can get out a lot more and build fitness up again as I have lost so much recently:/ Also, Simon wants to start going to the gym so I think I'm going along as some kind of motivational support for him which will be good.
