Compass Sport Cup qualifier at Hamsterley Common
1st on Women's blue
Whole course on open moorland through very deep heather at times which my legs didn't like after yesterday. Happy with navigation, which was quite straight forward as there were very few features on the map, apart from a few times when I'd chosen more runnable routes through shorter heather and didn't adjust my bearing accordingly.

Running race (English Schools X Country) 19:20 [5] 4.25 km (4:33 / km) +68m 4:13 / km

194th in Senior Girls race I think
Very hilly course and got a poor start by not being quick enough and starting 7/8 in the pen. Enjoyed overtaking people on the hill though each time and felt like I was running pretty well. Position worse than last time but I was where I wanted to be in relation to the other orienteers in the race.

warm up to rugby club and on to bridge

Running intervals 32:44 [5] 4.62 km (7:05 / km) +24m 6:54 / km

Intervals along the lines
4 x 800m between bridge and gate
Turn around every 5mins and reps took around 3:15min to complete
Running with Ruth for all of these.
6 x 20s sprints (1min static rest)
1min at original 800m pace to try and start to clear lactate.
Feeling comfortable on the 800m even though I was pushing hard.
