Sprint Relay Leg 1 - Otley

Didn't enjoy this very much. Bit hectic with lots of road crossings, cars, people and blocked alleyways.

Got dropped instantly to 1 without really doing anything wrong....it seemed like everybody except Alice had the other forking. Then just running slightly ahead of Kirstin and Fiona until the final road crossing where I got held up by the longest line of traffic ever.

Sprint Relay - Leg 3

In the 1min mass start so trying to hang onto the back of Charlotte and Cecilie. More on top of the navigation this time around. We regrouped at 9 as a lady was getting grumpy about the control in her driveway. Final burn up around the easy estate at the end was grim. Charlotte and Cecilie pulling away easily.

GB Squad Sprint Weekend in Leeds

Knockout Sprint Qual - Cottingley

Feeling very rusty on this one and struggling to see the barriers. Picking good routes though, just felt rushed and behind the whole time. Biggest error was choosing the wrong route on the long leg to 11 which was made worse by having an alleyway blocked by construction worm and having to zigzag.

2 long loops which spread out very quickly and didn't run with anyone the whole way. Struggling with any route that involved the OOB carparks. Needed to slow down more until I had worked it out.

Knockout Semifinal - Holt Park

This was my favourite course of the day. Housing estate was much more runnable and open, so I was able to get into more of a rhythm. Trying to hold onto Charlotte and Grace the whole way around with lots of switching of positions. Got caught out on the wrong side of the wall at the end and also mispunched #2/11 which were on either side of a wall and I just assumed it was a common control.

We switched up the 3 heat promotion/relegation system and just ran all 9 women together for the final. I felt on the limit the whole time in this, both physically and with the map reading...just trying to follow and not able to read the map at all. Dangling off the back of the front group until 7, then took a poor route to 8 and ran out of energy.
