Jumbo-Holdsworth with Dad

Ran in to Atiwhakatu Hut then mostly walking up to Jumbo Hut and across the tops. Still yet to get a view from the top as it was misty rain so couldn't see anything. Left Dad at Powell Hut and ran the final descent fairly fast to try and get under 4 hours (and finish before my watch ran out of battery). Good fun!!

Headed across to Porirua to run somewhere different. Linking up lots of nice gravel trails in the trees around Aotea/Ascot Park.
Session was a steady/tempo run...also known as 'try to keep up with Jonny for as long as possible'. Had a compulsory stop to watch 2 tiny wild kittens which was well timed as I needed a rest up the hill.

Easy Mishka's loop with the new shoes. Wasn't very comfortable as I had that hot new shoe burning feel and they felt really narrow. Left leg seized up so was a bit of a hobble home.

Drove up to Old Coach Road carpark so that we could get further into the farm than usual. First part with Jonny along lumpy bumpy track, then up to the airstrip and back down linking up all the sheep tracks. Through the fridge track to finish.
Was nice running at dusk up on the tops with nobody else in sight.
