Very cold overnight and neither of us got much sleep, despite wearing 6 layers of clothes including puffer jacket! A much easier 2nd day with a fairly gentle climb up to the 4th munro of the trip (Carn a'Chlamain), then down a track all the way back to Blair Atholl. Legs started to get very tired on the final slog down the valley so Jonny carried my bag for a bit to ensure we got to the train on time .

Fun weekend tramping with Jonny. Caught the train to Blair Atholl then climbed 3 Munros (Carn Liath, Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain and Carn nan Gabhar) before a long slog up the valley to the Tarf Hotel bothy.

Was mostly nice weather but had a few flurries of snow/rain come through so was very cold on the tops. The final munro was particularly miserable with very strong crosswinds as well so had to hide behind the various cairns/trig points along the top.

This was pretty tough but fun to be racing again. Absolutely exhausted but also not quite willing to go very deep into the pain cave. Lets hope its upwards from here!

Sprintelope - Dalkeith

Plan was just to cruise around but had been feeling stressed/ill all day so my head was not really in it at all. Navigating like a complete novice...ran down 2 wrong roads, terrible route choices and spending so long looking at the map without actually taking any information in.
Still fun to run on a new area anyway.
