Scottish Sprint Champs - South Queensferry
Running well apart from 30 seconds lost to the 7th control. Hadn't planned ahead on the way to 6, got flustered and ran off in the wrong direction and took the long way round the roads instead of cutting through. Almost ran across the motorway to 14 as I was expecting a bridge not an underpass.
Good enough for 1st place and Scottish champion...reclaiming some of my Scottish heritage ;)

Chasing Start - South Queensferry
Start times got delayed so warm up was pretty useless and legs were struggling once I actually got going. Thought I'd be by myself for the chasing start as there was a gap to the next girl, but the boys had the same course as us (apart from 2 extra controls) so ended up running with Conor for a fair bit of it. Quite slow through the first section as it was so slippery and the map scale was too small so couldn't even see a legitimate route to some of the controls. Then just physically struggling on the long legs up the hill to the finish. Not quite up to 2 top speed sprints races in a day just yet.

Scottish Night Champs - Bonaly (Pentlands)
Going really well and was winning until the 8th control where I lost almost 6 minutes. At the time I was convinced it was in the wrong place and looking at the gps trace I'm almost certain it was (map also pretty dodgy in this area too). Foot was really sore on the rough heathery stuff, and my shoelace came undone at 9 which meant there was no support at all. Ended up 3rd behind Claire and Zoe.

FWTN #7 - Braids
Mass start course with loops within loops. Was lots of fun and definitely a lot more confident/less scary than yesterdays night training! :) Running with Andrew for a fair bit of it..thought I'd snuck in front of him near the end, but turned out he'd already had the extra control at the beginning.

FVO Mass Start Night Training - Polmaise
Had no idea where we were most of the way to the 1st control. Realised pretty quickly that the green was not going to be passable, so stuck to the tracks for 2-7. Then the course had several loops so I ended up on my own which meant I went quite slowly cos I was too scared to leave the paths, but then ended up getting more confused over which path I was actually on!! Couple of big mistakes on 8 (parallel error with the wrong path) and 11 (just could not see the control). Really fun though!!

Running (Warm Down) 3:49 [2] 0.71 km (5:23 / km) +13m 4:56 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon Red

Not really a warm down as didn't really run fast enough to need one. More just keeping warm until the boys got back from theirs.

Kenyan Hills type session. 2x7.5mins with 5mins jogging rest in between. Hill I had planned to do it on was in gale force wind, so shifted to the slightly more sheltered bog.

Strength & Conditioning 40:00 [1]

Pop Pilates!
Didn't fancy going outside in 80km/h winds, and using my foot as a reason (excuse) not to.
