Quite enjoyable after the first 5mins once the slow people had left the lane and was only me and another guy. New goggles made a big difference as I didn't have to stop all the time to adjust and de-fog them.

Figured if I can't do this pain free then there's no point trying to run. Much improved from the last time I tried. Knee did get a bit uncomfortable at times, but changing to ski style settled it down.

Along the canal to Broxburn then across to Livingston to watch Jonny racing in the East District XC. Except the trains were all cancelled so he never made it there. But still enjoyable watching everyone else racing.
Then it dawned on me I couldn't catch the train home and would have to cycle...but luckily Jill and Craig nicely squeezed my bike in their car and gave me a lift :)

Shouldn't really have done this but couldn't face pulling out with injury 2 years in a row. Fun course but unsurprisingly I felt average, wanted to stop after the 1st lap and just got slower and slower.

No pain from knee during the race but seized up a bit in the warm down.

Walked round the green course at the army event at Ash Ranges.
Surprisingly fun area and was getting quite competitive by the end...trying to race against the oldies who kept running in the wrong directions then getting annoyed when I'd catch them back up again.
Finished 19th/70 which is rather impressive for how runnable the area was!
