Felt pretty good beforehand despite the obvious lack of sleep... Not really any pressure either. #1 I missed the straight forward cut through despite seeing it on the map, looking for where it was and just not seeing it :( (8s lost) #2 I missed the best route choice, though this time just from not seeing through the technicality of the various walls and buildings. A good 25s lost here as I had to head all the way back out to the royal mile! :( not much of a problem with #3... Bit cautious and initially went down a close saying "Mary Queens Close" - I didn't realise this actually was an ally way and backtracked, taking the next one along. 10s lost again! I took the slightly slower route to #4 as it went down a large flight of steps rather than pacing it along the roads, only 5/6s slower though. Good to #5, good to #6 (if not slightly cautious) and on #7 I think I lost quite a bit of time(4/5s) due to planning ahead and being a bit slower than I should have! Up a long flight of steps, up over the "Castle Rock" tail then down the slippy, grassy slope to #8. Then really started running well smashing it to #15 :) #16 I was a little slower losing a little bit. Dodgy to #17 as it what what I expected it to be, good to #18 (checked which side of the wall in advance ;)) good #19, good #finish
Very pleased with this run as I made no mistakes! The only times I was losing time was either down to route choice, running speed (not too bad though, mostly on uphill steps!) and sometimes when I would check the map for too long!
Harrison.... Unlucky with the loss of the BOF points gold ;)
