Morning run. I was planning to do reps up along the path behind Baljaffery but it was far to icy and so looped back through the wood which I've never been in before and would actually be really good for terrain intervals. Slowly ran round the far side of Bearsden feeling really terrible and empty in my legs. Was planning to do more but couldn't bring myself to.

Clyde Hill run up round The Slacks. Did quite a lot of doubling back especially on the climbs. Tried out Dave's advice and ran about a meter off the path in the terrain for a bit and it was pretty tough so I'll probably do that more. Feeling pretty drained afterwards.

Usual sort of Wednesday loop but in reverse. Decided to try out my heart rate monitor again and after a lot of faffing it eventually got comfortable and forgot about it. Feeling a bit drained from last nights session towards the end.

8x 1km reps with 200m jogging over 90 seconds recovery.
Long warm-up to Anniesland again to the usual spot. Managed to keep the pace constant on all the reps although was definitely struggling on the last few. Long warm-down back to Garscube talking to John and Alan about training and heart-rate monitors.
