Super nice day (but cold) so dad got me out for a ride. Feeling surprisingly okay on the bike given my lack of cycling recently. Bit apprehensive about the Scapegoat Hill climb but actually wasn't so bad, although aided by the fact I got a forced rest in the middle when two cars were trying to squeeze past each other... Struggle to get myself out on the bike but really do enjoy it when I actually do.

EUOC Power Hills up my usual track. 6x1(2) + 4x30s(1). Absolite mud fest this path but cba finding another one. Had a wee terrain section half way up to avoid the worst of the bog, snapped a few branches so I wouldnt get stabbed in the eye. Nice and consistent tho, reaching the same tree each time on the 1s and kept the 30s hard but controlled. Felt pretty tough, really need to do these more often...

Extended CD round Yateholme to get the weekly miles up (cycling tomorrow). Legs barely functioning, had a few stops near the start as I felt like I was gonna be sick. Got into it tho and started to feel a bit better.

Easy CW Digley loop, steadier ACW loop. Wanted something a wee bit more tempo so just put some more effort in for another lap. Not getting the paces out tho as it was v snowy and slidey, effort that counts x

Found a nice Fo8 loop down at sands rec which was ~800m. 3/4 on a tarmac path but one section across the football pitch which was so muddy and slidey so lost a bit of momentum here. 2x8(2) + 2x4(1) all at 4:25s. Was defo trying harder on the 4s but wasn't getting any more speed out the legs. Didn't get slower tho so I'm happy enough with this.

Had a wee chat with some random man at the end who was so full of praise and compliments I just didn't even know what to say. He said he thought I looked as smooth as a Rolls Royce ?!?! and was asking how I was doing with getting sponsorships lol...

Pre-core in the pouring rain. All the snow has gone and has now been replaced with sooo much mud D: Stayed mostly on roads but cba going all the way into firth so cut down the hill through the woods and did not go well in my roads with the ankle deep mud, oops.
