Midland Champs, Sherwood Forest. W18E, 8.8km. Was basically interested in using this course to test if I'm actually fit enough to do a similar distance at the JK. Fortunately, I managed a consistently steady pace without feeling too horrendous. Unfortunately, I was pretty tired at the end and managed to completely miss out the second last control... No excuses really. Not too annoyed though as there are more positives to take out of this race than negatives :))

Saturday Giants match. Solid hour at Centre probably wasn't the best prep for the nights tonight... Pretty intense match. And we lost.

Orienteering race 45:30 [4] **** 5.76 km (7:54 / km)
spiked:15/18c shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

British Night Champs, Cademan and Thringstone Woods. W18L, 4.8km Neeeearly fluffed the first control after being dragged miles right by the vegetation... But pulled it together and all in all had a pretty smooth race. Got my direction totally confused coming out of #8 and a brief panic whilst I ran around in circles, lost ~1.5 mins here :/ Also fluked a couple of controls by just thinking 'oo its sorta this way. Ill probably relocate somewhere' and then actually coming across the control. Running well throughout and happy to be under 10min/kms. Also got 5 fastest splits in the last 7 controls!

2nd behind Pippa and ahead of Laura K.
