JIRCS Relay
I ended up not running my age group again today. But not on the W18... The M16!! I was put in the boys second team with Yasmin and Wooders. Being the 16, I was in the first leg mass start with all the boys and, being the only girl on the start line, I was pretty nervous:/ First control was straight down a hill into a marsh and then straight back up the other side to number two, and I had been dropped by most people by then already-.- But i kept going and had an alright run. Decided my time could have been better but I was still tired after my extra long course the day before. And sleeping on a sports hall floor with Nev snoring didn't help, nor the not particularly appetizing breakfast! Was a good experience though and looking forward to next year when we will hopefully have a slightly stronger team, fingers crossed!

JIRCS 2013 :)
Yorkshire didn't have the strongest team this year so I ended up on the W18. Wasn't so happy at first but then decided it would be good for me (distance wise and to see how I compared with all the older girls) Really enjoyed it but wasn't used to the distance so was shattered by the end. Harriet L caught me up 3 mins by number 5 because I lost my sense of direction and ended up in the middle of a load of dark green crappy stuff :/ Was pretty pleased though as I pushed myself to keep up with her and managed until number 17 where I started navigating to the wrong control (presumably due to just being so tired...) Finished about 12th which was the top half so overall pretty happy :)
