Orienteering race 43:11 [4] 3.9 km (11:04 / km)

British Relays. I was doing the W18 with Yasmin and Pippa and I was put on first leg which I really was not happy with! I knew I would be behind everyone and I was-.- I decided to do a few corner cuts though when everyone else was going around the path and I managed to catch some people up! I then decided to completely mess up and wandered around for like 10 mins trying to find my control:/ From then on, i was on my own for the rest of the course....... And then I managed to finish last on my leg so overall I'm very proud!! not:/ Definitely not gong on first leg next time!! But on the up side, Yasmin brought us up two places to 7th and then Pippa another two to 5th which was brill! And we can have the same team for another 3 years so we can develop;)

Orienteering race 58:04 [4] 5.8 km (10:01 / km) +170m 8:44 / km

British Champs. Had a really late start so I knew what times people had done before I'd even left for the start. Jenny had done 48 which I knew was a pretty good time. Felt like a chose a pretty good route for the first control to try and avoid as much climb as possible because I knew that that was what annoys my calves, and I also wanted to get off to a good start, which I did. Had to go up a ridiculously massive hill to number two which killed off the calves straight away-.- I was then running rather awkwardly and slowly for the next bit of the course. I found all the controls very well which annoyed me as I then knew it was just my stupid calves that slowed me down. They carried on hurting all the way up to the road crossing at which point I had a minutes rest basically for the minute time out. The rest of the course after that was pretty much flat and they eased up and I was able to run which felt very good indeed! I was running fast from then on and at this point all I was bothered about was getting inside championship time for Deeside (which I did - my 4th). I felt good running which I hope was a result of my training leading up to the event. I ended up 11th, 10 mins down on Jenny. (I actually managed to jump up two places when they finally decided to take off the time for the minute timed out section, presumably because I took 59 seconds for it;D)

Running 30:00 [1]

Harriers-new group. Joined my friend Isaac's running group at harriers with my birthday buddy Imogen;) I decided it would do me more good than being with the kids' group. Was a beautiful warm night so we did a really easy session. Did my first proper 300m at the end of it and got a time of 57secs which I'm relatively pleased with! I've got nothing to compare it with though so not sure if it actually is any good.....

Running 46:00 [2] 4.0 km (11:30 / km)

Distance is very rough. Had a bit of a fun jog (with mum again) around Wharncliffe with the map from the British 2011 - that I won as a first year 14;D. We parked in the top car park and did the first two controls of Michael's M16a course and then went to see my favourite bush!;) I decided to run through the terrain a bit (while mum went round the path) which resulted in me getting a nice collection of scratches on my ankle from a bramble-.- Didn't exactly run a lot or particularly hard but it was lots of fun!

Running intervals 8:19 [5] 1.5 km (5:33 / km)

Decided to do some little loops after mine a mums 'run' just to make something out of it. I did 3 loops of roughly 500m which took me: 2:53 (i wasn't sure where I was going and I also fell over:/), 2:43 and 2:45 so pretty consistent I guess:)
