Half term so the ladies ride was an early start for a change (most of them are teachers..). Plan was to do 75 miles to Birkin, but about 15 miles in the heavens opened and we got absolutely drenched. One lady turned around and headed home, the rest of us decided to carry on but cut the ride short as we were all very cold. Had some lovely beans on at Sandal Castle then thankfully hit some hills on the way home so warmed up quite nicely! Felt quite fit :)

Scottish Relays, Roseisle. Absolutely goooorgeous wow loved this! Nailed the first couple of controls in the green and was flowing nicely through the next lot. Basically was finding the controls v well just think the past week caught up with me so was not moving very fast at all :( Had the FVO team just in front of me the whole way but couldn't quite catch her! Faffed a bit in the last green section but somehow finished in front of FVO :D brought us up to 3rd yay :))

Scottish Champs, Achagour. Had a really late start so knew before I went that a lot of people were making mistakes which definitely helped me focus more on getting it right. It was slow through the terrain but felt like I was moving okay. Died a bit after the long leg and the marsh to 6 and 7 really slowed me down. Kept pushing through the last few but screwed 10 because I just didn't check my compass. Really stupid!! Fairly happy with my result but should've been a lot better still.

Had planned to go on a small ride this morning but really struggled to motivate myself and ended up lying in bed all morning... Not sure why this happened. Got out eventually but didn't leave myself masses of time before I was going to the cinema. Just headed out on the bike path for 30 mins to Musselburgh and then turned around and came back. Much faster home because I actually knew where I was going! V chilled.

Another beaut day so took myself off on another ride. Out to Queensferry on national cycle route #1 and across the Forth Road bridge. Had a wee banana break on the other side then proceeded to cross back over the bridge. Took the coastal route back (route #76) which was so scenic with some beautiful secluded beaches, however it was a bit of a gravel track so not too ideal on a road bike! Didn't get a puncture fortunately. Legs feeling better than on my last ride but still don't feel like I've got much power up any hills....

Didn't really wanna run or cycle so just planned to go for a walk because the weather was so nice, but once I was ready to go just decided to run a bit. V chilled and had a few sunbathing stops. Walked back from killing fields along the crags to save my calves. Still very sweaty and hot. Legs feeling a bit dead.

Got so much time on my hands now exams are done, I dunno what to do with myself... Weather was fairly decent anyway, if not a tad breezy. Avoided all the (vehicular) traffic and headed out along the towpath, to get slowed by all the other (people) traffic. Had planned just to go out to Balerno and back but never turned off the towpath so soon found myself in Ratho. Fortunately not too far from Balerno (cheers Google maps for helping out here) so hit the roads across to Balerno and then got on the Water of Leith walkway back to the Burgh. Thankfully less people. Good fun.

V chilled cycle with Lucy and Alex B. Out to Portobello on the cycle track, along the coast to Cramond and back the same way as on Friday. Didn't quite expect to be out this long but oh well... What even are exams anyway.

Chilled spin out to Cramond with the fresher gals to watch the 5k. Pretty stop start trying to find our way there, but speedier home as we had some oldies to follow ;)

Nice to escape the flat from the solid revision I've been doing for the past week or so....
