Homeeeee!! Easy round the Blackpool bridge loop with mum. Nice and chilled, but an annoying headwind for the first half all up the hill. Put in an effort up the hill out of the valley with the strava segment vaguely in mind, got 2nd by 10s... May have to go and try again.

7 hills with Fay, Saz and Alex! Such a fab day out!! Started to struggle just after Corstorphine Hill at around 16k but kept plodding on and once we reached the Castle it all became a bit easier again. Perfect weather for it :)))

With Alex:))) From Hillend up Caerketton and Allermuir and then home via Braidburn and Hermitage. Tops off all the way to Hermitage, such a lovely day! An easy long run as they go, all the climb at the beginning then just a nice cruise downhill all the way home :))

Down to the grass track for some intervals. Unfortunately there were cricket matches on so had to change plans. Jogged a lap of the field watching the cricket whilst Alex did a tempo (wasn't planning on running at all today so gave this a miss).

With Alex. Down to Leith, up WoL to the canal then back along the canal and meadows. Legs have felt tired all week and apparently they still haven't woken up... Thought they might after 5k odd but didn't, and realised then this was gonna be one long slog... No pace at all, but didn't really slow down until my stomach started playing up. Same feels as last Saturday at the MM. Stopped at a cafe for a glass of water but didn't help too much. A rather unpleasant crawl home from there.

A very lovely route though, and would love to do it again sometime, maybe when I'm a little fitter....

SCOMM Day 2. Muuuch better today! After the initial slog up the mountain to the first control (which i think we flew up!) there were no more major climbs and it just felt like we were flying!! I was also navving pretty well and it was just so satisfying and enjoyable, wow. Most people were slower today but we were so much quicker :D

Scottish Mountain Marathon Day 1. C class with Alex. I rather slowed her down today with a sore stomach and constantly feeling like I wanted to vom. Not sure what caused it but took some water and felt a little better for the descent to the finish. Was rather worried about surviving day 2....
