Orienteering race 42:39 [4] 4.7 km (9:04 / km) +80m 8:22 / km

Harvester Relays 2013! I was doing third leg in a junior team with Zac, Jake, myself, Michael and Dane on last leg. I was up at 2:50 after getting probably about an hour of sleep.... But I felt quite awake because i was so excited! Zac had come back in first (about 10secs ahead) and then Jake came back in first too. I messed up number one a bit because the control was in head high bracken and I went up the wrong re-entrant... But after that it was a pretty good run and I only made one more mistake at number 7 which was in head high bracken again-.- , but it was only an orange course;) My team beasted the relay and we won by half an hour!! Wooo:D I just needed to catch up on some sleep the next night ;)

Running race 49:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:48 / km)

I did this Run Challenge thingy that was on in Holmfirth. It was basically a score race but at each control you had to answer a question like 'how many horizontal bars on the metal gate' or something. I ended up running the first bit with mum so I decided to go a different route even though it probably wasn't an ideal one. It was a really nice evening and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I only got 13 out of 26 controls but I kind of concentrated more n the running aspect so I tried to go a decentish distance. I was 4 mins late but they weren't really giving people a proper score because they were just trying to get people involved I think... (the distance is very rough I actually have no clue how far i went..)

Orienteering race 52:44 [4] 4.5 km (11:43 / km) +125m 10:17 / km

Northern Champs - Castle Carr (UKOL13) Had a really good leg 1 and 2 and then i messed up number 3 pretty badly.... Laura H started four mins behind me and I could see her behind me, which I guess kept me going for the rest of the course! Felt pretty good running wise and I didn't make too many mistakes but I still think I was slow. I ended up 5th, 4th notherner (Chloe beat me again...) Pippa won by 5 minutes with 43.52!!! I really need to get faster-.-

Orienteering race 25:34 [4] 3.3 km (7:45 / km) +95m 6:46 / km

Halifax urban (UKOL12) Had a pretty good run I guess. Didn't make any mistakes apart from right at the end where I ran 10m passed the junction. Was 1 min behind Chloe which annoyed me but sprint races aren't really my thing.

Orienteering race 25:28 [4] 4.2 km (6:04 / km) +30m 5:51 / km

Salford Urban Race. Could only do the WJ (W16-) course because I'm apparently still not old enough to cross roads safely by myself-.- But the distance was alright and the course was quite enjoyable apart from a couple of long, boring legs along the river. Was pretty happy with my time and I came 1st (only out of 5 but still....) ;)

Running hills 7:09 [5] 1.2 km (5:57 / km) +140m 3:46 / km

Second hill session. Slightly faster than last time and felt a bit stronger. But the weather wasn't as hot and it was slightly drizzly which was nice. 1.39, 1.43, 1.48, 1.56.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

10 mins run there, 5 mins stretching (mainly my calves) and 15 mins slow jog back.

Orienteering race 48:07 [4] 4.6 km (10:28 / km) +140m 9:05 / km

SYO event - West Haigh. Nice area and very runnable in places! Did the blue course to get a bit more distance in (and to race my mum;D). I caught her up about 3 mins by number 6 and then was with her for 3 controls where she messed up. Had a pretty good race apart from number 12 where the map just confused me so much and I just couldn't work out where the control was meant to be.... Was slowing a little by the end but I had run pretty hard. I finished 8th, 8 mins down, but first woman, 5 mins ahead of the next:)
4 PM

Cycling 30:00 [2] 5.0 mi (10.0 mph)

Got back from West Haigh quite early and me and mum didn't know what we were going to do for the rest of the day, so we decided to go for a short, slow bike ride around Yateholme:) Had three 5 min stops where we took some pictures and ate Maltesers:D

Running hills 7:27 [5] 1.2 km (6:12 / km) +140m 3:55 / km

Now have a hill session on my training schedule every tuesday, but due to my german exchange arriving this evening, i did it today instead. I ran up a path that I worked out as about 300m with 35m of climb. Dad thought it would take me 1 min for each so he said do 7, but after the first one, I decided they were going to take me more like 2 mins so I just did 4 instead: 1;36, 1;59, 1;53, 1;59. I literally died after that first one so I slowed down a bit so I would actually have some energy left for the others! I decided hill reps are the most awful and painful thing i have ever done. But i will carry on with them!!;)

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Jog to and from my hill rep path:)

Running 32:27 [2]

Beautiful weather. Took a map and ran around the paths at the back of my house. Very easy run - not going fast at all. Start of my new training schedule for the Deeside training camp and the Scottish 6-days.
