I ran the first leg of our A team. It started pouring right before the mass start... again, yay! I kept my head in the chaos and went to all the right controls. I had one bobble on control 7 but I quickly relocated. I think I used the elephant trails and other competitors well.

This felt much better than yesterday's course. Besides for a three minute mistake on the first control, my course was relatively clean. I caught back up to the Slovakian who started a minute after me and stayed with her for the rest of the course. My legs were dead with maybe four controls left, so I struggled to keep up with her and the other girls we caught.

This race did not go well... I made many small mistakes. I also had the last start so there were no runners out to help lead me into controls or push my pace.

We had to warm up in a gym. Right before my start it began pouring... yay!

This race went really well for me. The rain made it a little miserable at the beginning, but I got used to it quickly. I am proud that I didn't get stuck in any traps (there were two really tricky ones that I read well). I came in 69th, 2:34 off the lead time.
