Wirlinga (NSW) <> Bellbridge (VIC). Steve suggested I could follow the fence line along Lake Hume and come back over the hill (17km). That was probably further than I wanted to ride, but his route seemed to be underwater at the moment. Instead I decided to ride up DCA Lane to the trig station and then down the tracks to Bellbridge Bridge. Eight gates each way to lift the bike over or open/close if too high. Came across lots of big cattle in one paddock. They moved away the first time, but I was a bit anxious on the return when one of the bulls started to follow me up the track. 33°C. 30%rh. TE 3.2.

Adam left Coogee early on Christmas Day before his test results had come through. He got here in time for presents and a late lunch. His negative test results arrived later that afternoon, just within the promised 72 hours.

Drove to Albury with Robert (593km). Roslyn & Bethany drove down with Mel in his car. Adam was deemed a close contact of a COVID person from a restaurant in Canberra (!) last Saturday so he is waiting for the results of a COVID test before he can leave. Tested at 8pm on Wednesday but told the results could take 48-72 hours. He's thinking about flying down now so he doesn't miss Christmas.

My car was playing up on the way down. Seemed to be running on 3 cylinders. Only 80km/h on the hills. Serviced last week so a bit mystified. I'll wait until Monday to call the NRMA but might have to book another service down here later in the week.

North Berowra trails (CW): Ridgeview > Turner single tracks > Turner-Woodcourt-Lonsdale-Cliffview > Wanda-Alan-Warrego > Warrina-Mary Wall > Arcadia-Holliday. Thought there might be an off-chance I would find my lost water bottle. No sentimental value, but I don't have many left. I thought I worked hard coming back up Gully Road. Strava gave me an 11" PB. 23°C. TE 2.3.

Planned to do a road session but the gears are slipping badly on the road bike. (See Monday's session.) A bit annoyed because I was going to do some long rides in the Albury-Wodonga area next week. Muggy tonight. 23°C. 49%rh. TE 2.4.
