"Wallaroo - Waterholes", Balickera. Hard Medium / M50A: 5.6km, +85m, 15c. 6th/10 in M50A (13:30 behind Steven Roberts). 16°C. TE 4.0. Relatively happy with my run but mistakes on #4 & #12 cost me a really good result. Good mix of track and bush legs. Half the controls were on uprooted trees.
#1 - Tracks. #2 - Min track, minor track, then followed light/dark green vegetation boundary to tree root. #3 - Back to minor track then compass from bend. #4 - Left main track too soon and missed dam on first pass and had to relocate from track (lost 6'). #5 - Bad exit from #4 (lost 1'). #6 - Tracks. #7 - Straight. #8 - Slight up hill run to meet track, then descended from track junction to tree root at gully junction. #9 - Ran parallel to WC. #10 - Ran to meet main track then crossed to intercept WC. #11 - Track to MMO then follow WC up to tree root. #12 - Long leg. Tracks to car wreck on Nine Mile Road then compass. Only counted one bike track so overran control. (lost 4'). #13 - Compass from wreck on main road. #14 - Straight. #15 - Straight. #F - Straight.
