Bike long (road up / trail down) 1:05:46 intensity: (5 @0) + (4:10 @1) + (25:31 @2) + (18:39 @3) + (17:21 @4) 18.15 km (16.6 kph) +330m
ahr:134 max:164 rhr:80 slept:7.1 weight:65kg shoes: Giant Roam XR1 (white)

Gosford-Kariong-Milyerra trail loop. Up the Central Coast Highway (3.4km, +163m, +4.8%, 13.5mins) to Kariong then descending through Brisbane Waters National Park via the Milyerra trail to Point Clare. It's a pretty impressive 3km long all-downhill (-181m) trail that only gets too narrow, rocky and twisty for a 400m section in the final km (-6% avg). 25°C. TE 3.1.

Maitland-Phoenix Park loop (ACW). Transferred the 'racing' pedals from my MTB to my 'work' hybrid. Felt fast. Within 12s of my PB. Swooped by the known magpie (#3-2015) adjacent to Closebourne Park, Morpeth (@8.5km). Keep helmet on so I couldn't progress the CSIRO theory. 28°C. TE 3.5.

Bike hills (long road) 48:34 intensity: (2 @0) + (42 @1) + (47 @2) + (16:36 @3) + (30:27 @4) 20.3 km (25.1 kph) +237m
ahr:150 max:169 rhr:88 slept:6.3 weight:65kg shoes: Giant Roam XR1 (white)

Touched 56.7km/h out the back @km9 and 63.2km/h coming down Dickensons Rd @km13. Surprised by a known magpie at the bottom of Aberglasslyn near km17 which struck me on the helmet (#7-2015). I slipped my helmet off at before the top of the hill to try to fool magpie #1-2015 based around km17.9. I thought it might have worked but he followed and swooped at me 300m further along the road. The CSIRO theory is looking shaky. 22°C. TE 3.3.
