"Western Sydney Regional Park". Div 2: 4.5km, 11c (13th/32). Best leg: #6 (2nd). Best pos: 10th (#4, 8-9). Lots of water everywhere, especially coming out of #4. Had to double back to #2 (lost 2:10). A bit low at #9 (20s). Slow to #10: consensus was control not in the right place (about 50m too low). Hesitant on way to #11. Surprised to finish with 10 points in the close BN (29) - GO (26) match race.

Misplaced my HRM. First training since the weekend due to the big storms. The trails were blocked at several locations by fallen trees and branches. Still a lot of fun racing through the puddles. Over 400mm of rain had fallen in just 48 hours both at home and the Maitland office on Monday-Tuesday. I avoided most of the carnage by working at Muswellbrook early in the week and then from home later on. Too many roads were still flooded near the office, adding significant travel time to the regular trip. It really brings it home when you realise two people died in floodwaters less than 2km from the end of your regular commute.
