Bike long (hills) 1:40:53 intensity: (12 @0) + (32 @1) + (4:57 @2) + (31:40 @3) + (1:03:32 @4) 38.53 km (22.9 kph) +409m
ahr:154 max:171 rhr:83 slept:8.0 weight:62kg (injured) shoes: Giant Roam XR1 (white)

Salt Village-Farrants Hill loop. Rode a lot further than I planned. Headed to Tropical Fruit World (12km) but misread the map and ended up too far on the W side of the M1 Pacific Motorway. Although the descent down Farrants Hill was fun (120m in 2km touching 49.2km/h). A nice reward for 4.5km of climbing.

Flag Counter update: A new Californian visitor and a first visitor from Delaware takes USA total to 25 (2nd). Two from UK (12), stays in 3rd. Two from Germany (3), moves to outright 7th. AUS visitors 235. Total unique visitors 309.

"Hugos Trench", Julian Rocks, Byron Bay. 5 minute boat trip from Cape Byron boat ramp. Swell 1.5m ('feed the fish' time). Air temp 26°C. Water temp 24°C (great). Vis 15m (poor). Max depth 18m. Wobbegongs (lots), leopard sharks (2), stingrays, moray eel, Nemo fish (1).
Roslyn, Bethany & Adam snorkelled at the same location and saw a few loggerhead turtles and a stonefish.
Bethany's UAC admissions were released last night. She was accepted into her first choice degree course of B Exercise Physiology at UNSW.

Bike long (road/path) 1:22:19 intensity: (26 @1) + (3:59 @2) + (18:38 @3) + (59:16 @4) 33.47 km (24.4 kph) +27m

Salt Village<>Black Rocks. Amazing what actions people take to move aside on a shared pathway. A dog happily sniffing the grass off to the side is called across the path in front of you just as you get there. Warning bells cause people to cross from one side of the path to the other side at the last moment.

Dreamworld, Gold Coast QLD. Did the 'Tower of Terror II' for the first time. Seemed a bit overrated even though we were supposed to accelerate to 100mph (backwards).

Dreamworld, Gold Coast, QLD. Rides at the theme park and slides at the water park. The 'Giant Drop' certainly gets the heart (and lungs) pumping (115m straight down @ 135km/h). Lots of stairs at the water park.
