Orienteering 42:00 [4] 6.3 km (6:40 / km) +210m 5:43 / km
shoes: 2013 VJ Supra

British Relay Champs - Cragg Estate & Chesterhope Common

SLOW Men's Premier - Leg 2

Easier running and relatively simple navigation made this a more probable finish than yesterday. Got round, no real mistakes, could have pushed harder but didn't want to/think it was wise.

A little doze in the car on the way back but a lot better than yesterday.

Just under a week to be feeling normal again before the LAMM.

Sleep Walking 2:00:00 [1]
shoes: 2013 VJ Supra

Maybe trying to run today wasn't such a good idea... no real focus on what I was doing, wandering around making some silly navigational errors, and no fight in the legs whatsoever. Then about an hour in I was feeling cold while running. Decided to wander back via the drinks point and a few controls, could quite happily have sat down by the edge of the track and gone to sleep. Dozed for most of the rest of the afternoon...

Not the sort of area/course to tackle when not completely on the ball. Right decision to bail, but probably should have taken it earlier.

Note

General run-down feeling this week. Felt fine during/after Tuesday's run but terrible Wed am. Would usually put it down to hayfever, but it's been so wet I'm not convinced there's any pollen in the air...

Cycling 35:00 [3] 14.8 km (25.4 kph)

To Overseal

Running 1:28:00 [2] 10.6 km (8:18 / km)
shoes: La Sportiva C-Lite

Another really enjoyable route - loop from Overseal to the south.

Cycling 39:00 [2] 14.8 km (22.8 kph)

Relaxed meander home. Given the terrible forecast for this evening, pretty much escaped it all - only the odd drop of rain.
