10 AM

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

11 AM

Orienteering race 2:05:02 [4] 11.24 km (11:07 / km)

Long Ontario Champs course at Mono Cliffs:

Knew my legs didn't have it yet running through the rough open up out of the start. This trended throughout the run as I just didn't feel powerful enough running through terrain. Felt ok on trails.

Rimmed out on a lot of 'free throws' (easy controls)...is that what you were thinking Hammer? Settled for long two's like DeMar DeRozan on harder legs...brick city on the 3's (long route choice legs).

All in all, it was fun being out there. Great course set by Nick and the Stars. Cool to see the top of the smaller outlier on the map. Competitive enough first half, then fatigue got me on the home stretch. I was rattled and made numerous mental errors to close it out. Cramping hammies to the end.

Should have ran my age group.

Great day! Nice to catch up with some O-peeps from the past. Awesome watching Annie take on a steep hill and downed trees at the start.

Humbling to see Jan-Erik blow my doors off on a trail on one of the longer legs.

I have some work to do.

Oh ya...time for a new compass. Wobbly Willie needs to retire. Or maybe it's Vlobbly Vladdy, (being a Moscow compass).

Perfect day.

~1000 hand bombed.
~1000 two-wheeler.
1 PM

Cycling (Mix) 1:20:39 [3] 26.53 km (3:02 / km)

A little boot around from work:

Followed the Google Maps suggested bike route across the city to Brickworks...by map memory. Tougher than I thought. Lots of little jukes to avoid traffic.

Failed miserably to get to the Beltline. (Lotsa u-turns) Pretty straightforward after that.

Took on a killer hill in David Balfour Park, (I believe that's the name) leading up to Glen Road. Failed to win the battle to the top.

Bike lanes along Sherbourne/Wellesley/Harbord to Ossington/Shanly/Wallace home.

Cycling (commute) 15:28 [1] 5.36 km (2:53 / km)

Might avoid the slaughterhouses on Glen Scarlett next time.

Strength (bread) 25:00 [2]

~1500 hand bombed
~1500 two wheeler.
2 PM

Cycling (Mostly paved bike path) 1:03:18 [3] 21.61 km (2:56 / km) +165m 2:49 / km

From work:

Shot over to the Humber at James Gardens, south through Etienne Brulé, Old Mill and the Lower Humber to the lake. Across to Jameson/Dowling...King-Roncey-Marion-Sorauren-Railpath and home.

Would love to see the O-map from down there. Actually some promising segments. Unfortunate I missed the last TOC Wednesday night meet.

Possible sprint condo-o west of the Humber to Park Lawn

Haven't owned a bike since I was 16. Learning to ride again.

Can't wait to explore.
3 PM

Running 37:09 [2] 8.26 km (4:30 / km) +40m 4:23 / km

Parked the bike. Change of clothes in the garage...(Anabel would peak if Daddy came home and left so quickly)...then the usual run to and around High Park with an Oakmount/Annette/Dupont/Symington finish.

Felt great. Legs getting stronger. Progress.

Cap it with a Raptors win tonight...solid day.
