A very strong frost but ground was thawing by the time I got out in the late morning. Cold but blue sky and sunshine and did really enjoy run. Another different variant of Purdown, Eastville Park, Oldbury Court, Frenchay and Begbrook
No opportunity to run early when it was nice and turned not running in the gloom and rain later into a positive. The body has been creaking and a day off might re-ignite enthusiasm
A better day, some sunshine as well as mild, again a bit overdressed as could have been shorts and T shirt. Ran quite a bit further today even though route Purtdown, Eastville Park, Frome Valley Oldbury, Frenchay. and Begbrook familiar. Started quite slowly but kept going. The river was SO full of water. Tired afterwards
A horrid wet day -it did easy off in the late pm so went out ran to and from the main hill through the wood to the main hill, which was very greasy and tricky (and very slow) to get down! x6. Not a great session but a bit of a bonus one
I had expected today to be a very wet day after a big storm overnight, however it did not quite materialise and actually found a time that was quite pleasant and mild. (Its a "double whammy" so tomorrow might be the wet day. Revised the standard Purdown route to avoid some of the most slippery slopes so a bit longer. (I still went down on a greasy slope, so another black and wet bum) Today ran steadily and probably as a result enjoyed it more than some recent Purdown excursions.
Purdown, Eastville park, Frome Valley and just into Oldbury Court. Started reasonably quickly but seem to be struggling a bit in the third quarter. Overall time quite slow -I guess going down the slippery hills etc. Stopped to spot a woodpecker I had heard
Begbrook, Frenchay, Oldbury, Eastville and Purdown again. A mild almost spring like day (and actually a bit overdressed) so really good to be out. However hoards of folk almost everywhere and hence many diversions, so definitely not a standard. Reminded that one of the reasons I tend to use standard runs is to avoid the worst of the mud!
