Saturday Dec 26, 2020 #

off road 1:17:30 [3] 6.0 mi (12:55 / mi)

standard Purdown route, Slept in and felt another sore throat in the way. Put winter kit on to venture out, late on a wet and windy day. Over dressed and very unenthusiastic but did at least got out.

Friday Dec 25, 2020 #

Note

A bit behind on the preparations so too busy a day to get any exercise in but certainly worthwhile

Thursday Dec 24, 2020 #

off road 1:14:48 [3] 7.0 mi (10:41 / mi)

Portbury on a cold but not too bad a day. Having to work quite hard and tired afterwards

Wednesday Dec 23, 2020 #

off road 1:04:32 [3] 6.0 mi (10:45 / mi)

Run from Blaise Car Park. Most of the main tracks are quite solid so less effect of mud on pace. Started in drizzle on another mild wet day but later caught in down pour. Quite tired in later part

Tuesday Dec 22, 2020 #

off road 1:14:20 [3] 6.0 mi (12:23 / mi)

Purdown and Frome Valley, shorter variant. Just light rain

Monday Dec 21, 2020 #

off road 1:12:26 [3] 6.0 mi (12:04 / mi)

Standard route around Purdown, hung around waiting till the middle intensity rain ended, alas this coincided with the heavy rain starting. (Un-seasonally mild for December. Area very wet and muddy, pretty much for the whole route. Despite the time I thought I ran better and was feeling a bit stronger today. Perversely I did enjoy running in the rain and late afternoon gloom.

Sunday Dec 20, 2020 #

off road 2:32:00 [2] 11.8 mi (12:53 / mi)

Ran with Dave and Celia from Cranham village through Sheepscombe, Polo Inn, Castle Green and Brimpsfield. A bit concerned about I would cope but fortunately Celia was finding the mud challenging and suggested the shorter option for which I was most grateful as really tired by end and rest of day did very little. For most part avoided the rain, and from the evidence on the ground a freak (and very localised?) hail shower , till drenching in the last couple of km.
