Note

Short of time today so ended up not running (only option would have been with the headlight - probably a good thing

off road 1:30:00 [3] 8.0 mi (11:15 / mi)

Run around Ashton Court and then out of the back for a clockwise loop using the lane and Gordano Way footpath. Nice, sunny, blue sky but cold day. Enjoyed this outing

off road 2:30:00 [3] 13.0 mi (11:32 / mi)

I was really quite tired after yesterday and was feeling as though I might be getting a sore throat so slept in and got up leisurely to find that Dave was going to take the afternoon off (unheard of) and would like to meet at 13.15. at Seven Springs. Dosed up and feeling quite good by the afternoon. Although the forecast had been poor it was weak sunshine and great views . Very happy with sociable run at good pace

off road 2:15:00 [3] 11.8 mi (11:26 / mi)

There are some days you should just stay at home. I thought I would try to knock up some miles by doing some more of the Gordano Way so headed for Clapton albeit a bit later in the morning than I intended. They were setting up a road closure on Naish Hill so I could not get to the village, nor could I find a decent place to park so after wasting the best part of half an hour I went to the Barn at Nailsea. I ran along the ridge including quite a lot of metaled road including Cadbury Camp lane (so quite good mins/ mile) with three ups and downs despite not feeling great so quite tired when I arrived back to the car ......only to find that I had no car key.....almost unbelievably it had worked its way off the key ring and out of my bum bag. It is an "Oh Sugar" moment and really just the start of a saga So it was well after five o'clock when I finally got back to the house with the aid of a professional Dog walker, the AA (who could not give me a lift because of Covid) and a two way trip with the local taxi man who was a keen road cyclist and we had a good debate in the hour plus two way trip over the relative merits of cycling v running - this bit was warm!
The cost of a replacement electronic key from Mazda? it may well make Rishi Sunak wince.........

off road 1:03:04 [3] 6.0 mi (10:31 / mi)

Purdown standard loop

Sunday Nov 22, 2020 #

off road 1:54:00 [3] 10.0 mi (11:24 / mi)

Ran eastern part of Gordano way from Pill. Turned out to be a sunny but cold day. Heavy legged so a bit more like a Kingham long run and plenty of looking at the map - run pretty much all of the paths before but not linked up
