Thursday Sep 24, 2020 #

off road 2:51:30 [3] 13.3 mi (12:54 / mi)

Peak Raid route from Bamford over Lose and Win Hills. Turned out to be a nice sunny day. It was a really idyllic day and good as it certainly is to spend time with kids the quality time with Laura was a rare treat. Only downside was heel was sore on downhills and particularly afterwards.
Laura now much, much fitter and faster

Running hard yesterday seems to have damaged my heel. There is not a lot of cushion in the latest shoes and LHS heel has been getting progressively worse so its now quite a bit more than an annoyance

off road 59:54 [3] 6.0 mi (9:59 / mi)

Purdown standard route. Actually had a bit of a warm up because as I went out the door it started to spot with rain so went back to bring in washing. So went quite fast in the first 10 mins and (inexplicably) seemed to have a bit more zip. Ran quite hard but not exhausted on the hills. I new I was on to a good time so pushed hard and was apparently really quick over last mile, so very pleased/ surprised to dip under 60 mins!

off road 1:19:26 [3] 7.0 mi (11:21 / mi)

Purdown, Frome Gorge and just into Oldbury Court. Another nice sunny day. Did not think I was pottering but had to run very hard up the final hill just to get under 80 mins.

off road 3:10:00 [3] 14.7 mi (12:56 / mi)

Ran with Dave and Celia from Inchbrook up Woodchester Valley, south on CW and round Uley Burrow, then back north down Selsey Common and the lanes back. A nice trip but quite a few stops and feeling quite tired from quite early on. Thought it might be cold but turned into a really pleasant sunny day. The leaves just starting to turn in Gloucestershire whereas the bracken was a true rustic colour on the Sugar Loaf
