A lot of hours 6+? hanging controls in AC but mostly messing around with gripples etc. Surprisingly slow, only just finished in the dusk before the car park shut. Never know how to record this in training diary
Went over to Pete & Jo to pick up Planning kit, took the opportunity to run around the very pleasant Chew countryside with them, also was rewarded with a very pleasant afternoon tea in the garden and a slice of delicious home made cake. I need to create an excuse to be invited back.
Ran CW north from the Dog late afternoon. Not really into it just going through the motions but really enjoyed being out on a lovely day. Messed up the timing so guessed. Not going very fast
In Ashton Court after dentist, so ran from the Mansion car park. Basically standard route with an extra loop up and down the hill. Really an add on so a bit ordinary. Then spent the afternoon in AC gardening, clearing paths etc. Tired afterwards
BOK run from Compton Dando, a bit too pre-occupied with pre-event organisation chat to concentrate or warm up properly. So started as tail gunner to the long group and never really got going. Its starting to get dark and managed to lose my trusty £5 headlight. Group had to wait a bit more than I would like and I do hope I can improve. So my running was pants, the run, covering new ground and the company was good. Some useful chats in particular about Night 'O' where the guys have really got there head around what needs to be done. No major debate about key racks to be seen. So very productive evening
Fossebridge, North Leach, Hampnett, Yanworth, Chedworth loop with Dave and Celia. Very pretty typical Cotswold, afluent, agricultural landscape with perhaps less climb and more quicker miles. Another enjoyable trip and a new look at the county
