off road 1:01:53 [3] 6.0 mi (10:19 / mi)

Almost the standard Purdown Run. A sunny and quite warm Bank Holiday weekend. Loads and loads of people out so plenty of stopping etc. Cut out several of the narrower wood sections. so probably a bit quicker. Quite tired at the start and throughout but kept an honest pace and did the three hills and time not too bad. Quite hot and bothered by the end and needed to chill a bit post shower. Really do enjoy being out in this great weather

off road 1:34:01 [3] 9.0 mi (10:27 / mi)

Did not quite make the standard long route Purdown, Eastville, and Fenchay as many people out on a sunny VE day. There were lots out today and quite a few timed out slots. Abandoned the section in to and in the wood past Snuff Mills and put in a road section, basically Blackberry Hill, probably quicker but not shorter so not a direct time comparison. Struggling a bit with the stamina and a bit distressed at the end, very sweaty and feet sore.

off road 1:00:09 [3] 6.0 mi (10:02 / mi)

Standard Purdown route on another nice day. Oddly I had intended a longer route but as I passed the turn off and was clearly deep in thought my auto pilot stayed on the standard. At the start of the last mile I thought I would get under 60 and did push hard. So a bit disappointed I did not make it but that's probably related to the number of diversions and stops for pedestrians than effort. A sub 60 in spirit?

off road 1:16:47 [3] 7.0 mi (10:58 / mi)

Intended to run standard medium route, but there were a lot of people out today as it was idyllic Spring day. So it was quite distracting and there were some quite long timed out stops particularly leaving the Frome valley tried a different route but ended up effectively blind so I had to scramble up between some crags, probably wasted 2mins. Still overall really quite slow today feeling the effects of yesterday. Some runs post lockdown easement but with social distancing could be quite tricky

off road 59:34 [3] 6.0 mi (9:56 / mi)

For various reasons ran later in the day, nice and sunny and many more out than a.m. but not as weekend. Ran quicker today but not push till last mile. Did not notice knee till last mile. So that's a definite improvement. I think as the hills seemed easier that the faster time was due to having less miles in the legs than recently. Still pleasing

Monday May 4, 2020 #

off road 1:05:19 [3] 6.0 mi (10:53 / mi)

Standard Purdown run on mostly sunny day. Could feel knee pretty much all the time but that was all, it got no worse and I did not feel the sense that it might pop. So kept steady and did not push so time that which is ok. Need to be careful for a few days

off road 30:00 [2] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Ups! ran out of the house this a.m. and almost immediately had a pain in my RH knee, not one of the usual variety of knees aches, almost as though something had popped out. Immediately turned tail and retreated total elapsed time 3.26 mins. Took an (un) healthy dose of ibuprofen . Several hours later did a short run staying close to the house, started to feel something in the knee after half an hour so quit and returned home. A situation to be monitored
