off road 1:06:44 [3] 6.0 mi (11:07 / mi)

I thought weather would be wet so opted for Leigh Woods loop was actually fine but enjoyed run anyway

Thursday Oct 17, 2019 #

off road 1:13:16 [3] 6.5 mi (11:16 / mi)

Purdown and Frome Valley -shortest route. Nice run on a cool but sunny morning

orienteering race 1:23:10 [5] 7.3 km (11:24 / km)

MLS at Bagshot, this is a much trickier area that it looks -lots of black which tends to mask contours and lots of blue because very wet. Ran through the first 6 with much better control than of late and quite pleased but then the wheels really came off going to 7, started ok, then corrected to go to 8 (in error) and then a 180.....lost 5mins and momentum messy at 10, way, way of bearing to 11, missed path to 12......but got back into race and control, if slow. So although time not great there were positives (e.g. no mp) and thoroughly enjoyed it

Warm up

Tuesday Oct 15, 2019 #

off road 54:56 [3] 5.0 mi (10:59 / mi)

Had intended to go to the BOK run but a sunny and warm afternoon tempted me out, if only to dry out, onto the now standard Purdown loop and a little bit better time in the less slipy conditions

Monday Oct 14, 2019 #

off road 1:05:58 [3] 6.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

Blaise from car park, early tying to avoid worst rain. Quite heavy legged on hills and lacking a bit of energy. All in all time not too bad so worth pushing last mile

off road 10:00 [2] 0.7 km (14:17 / km)

Warm up

orienteering 1:48:58 [5] 9.3 km (11:43 / km)

Devon galloppen, new ground to me around a new set of Tors (Whitewell Common)-loved it - started in a cag and driving rain finished in sunshine. Quite a few controls were basically boulders in boulder fields and some pretty well hidden but my catastrophic error at control 5 and also the mistake ay 15 and 18 were simply self inflicted map reading errors. As a result of this got very slow and weary in last half. I can do better than this.....but did not mp hurray
