off road 58:50 [3] 5.0 mi (11:46 / mi)

Shorter Purdown variant

Friday May 24, 2019 #

off road 1:17:02 [3] 7.0 mi (11:00 / mi)

CW north from the Dog -truncated version. Took 38.20 to the turn. Knee not good on uphill road section - I don't pretend to understand this one. Try out of ever other day tactic for a while.

Thursday May 23, 2019 #

Note

No running today - to give knee some chance

Wednesday May 22, 2019 #

off road 1:52:00 [3] 8.0 mi (14:00 / mi)

Tinsel Trot from top car park -running conditions were ideal and I was trying but l...o...…..n...……...g time. Main issue was RHS knee hurt on first downhill (inside kneecap upper centre so not the meniscal tear rather general wear). Considered an immediate return but rather ran this off. Quite successful but process repeated on other downhills which made them glacial and quite painful. Ups

Note

I had intended to go to OK run as it was from Rowberrow but decided to give my knees a break

Monday May 20, 2019 #

Note

Walk up and down Fairfield from Grasmere with Pete and Jo -lovely sunny day enjoyed this but knees bad after quite sharp decent including man made rock steps at the end -nice morning and then travel

Sunday May 19, 2019 #

1 AM

road run 20:00 [2] 0.8 km (25:00 / km)

Warm up and jog back to and from start/finish
2 AM

orienteering race 1:04:13 [5] 4.9 km (13:06 / km)

Middle race at Stickle Pike.
again a high start, but a very different type of planning with many controls some of which were amongst crags and boulders. Poor and disappointing at the start losing time at nearly all the controls, no flow and a dreadful parallel error at 3. Really good over the second half, good flow, on top of the navigation and spiked all the controls...…..why? Perhaps sometimes its a funny old sport
3 AM

Note

Walk with Pete, Jo, Sandy, Mark and Alice from 3 Shire Stone to and from Pike of Blisco
