1 AM

off road 20:00 [2] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)

Parked away from event at Haresfield Beacon as requested for single occupancy. Warm up and down on route to Assembly
2 AM

orienteering race 1:06:02 [5] 7.0 km (9:26 / km)

NGOC at Standish Wood -really like this wood, although its steep its quite clean underfoot and quite nice to run through. Often performance marred by occasional invisible pesky pit but todays planner may have been a bit more generous with his hanging. Foot really does not like contouring so chose some routes today were not as straight as I would have normally expected to take. Felt quite tired at 2/3rd distance but race was quite short and was to hang on and not make the big Horlicks that often happens when I tire

Friday Dec 7, 2018 #

off road 1:03:03 [3] 6.0 mi (10:31 / mi)

Blaise loop from the car park, on another warm but grey day. Foot not great but pushed quite hard

Thursday Dec 6, 2018 #

off road 55:07 [3] 5.0 mi (11:01 / mi)

Shorter version on Purdown (but still with 3 hills) in order to give foot some respite - not too bad on run but painful afterwards

Wednesday Dec 5, 2018 #

off road 14:00 [2] 0.7 mi (20:00 / mi)

Warm up
2 AM

orienteering race 1:24:23 [4] 8.2 km (10:17 / km)

Orienteering MLS at Sidbury Hill. This proved to be a step too far. The terrain although actually relatively gentle proved to be too tough and by the later stages of the race my foot was sore and progress on downhills etc that of a snail. Hopefully not too much damage done.
Lack of concentration on short leg to no 9 and suddenly no idea where I was, took ages and a diversion to relocate -could have been as much as 4 mins.

Tuesday Dec 4, 2018 #

off road 1:12:12 [4] 7.0 mi (10:19 / mi)

Run from the Priory at Portbury, nice sunny but not very warm day -ideal for running. soft underfoot good for the foot -lots of gates and styles to climb..... and you do get to see an elephant. Pushed a bit harder from the start and a better pace than recent runs

Monday Dec 3, 2018 #

off road 1:25:22 [3] 7.0 mi (12:12 / mi)

Purdown, Eastville park. Frome valley and into Oldbury Court

Sunday Dec 2, 2018 #

off road 1:06:25 [3] 6.0 mi (11:04 / mi)

Purdown standard route, getting wetter and more greasy. Would do much better in the mudclaws but they are a suspect in the foot saga. Slow on downhills but seemed a bit stronger on the up

Some doubt about time …..could have benn 76.25, (i.e. 12.44mins/mile) ??
