Traditional route around Blaise Castle from the Combe Dingle end. A dismal wet day, went out early as forecast indicated it might be better, it was not! I fear that the Hen weekend might become more of a Duck weekend
Along and back the coast path south from Portishead Lake Grounds on a wild windy day with bright sunshine and occasional brutal showers. Ran with Chris, Helen and Jo; some quite pedestrian and chatty but also some quite quick. Always good views on this route but today quite dramatic
Long run with Mark in Wales. Two big hills pleased to run the first (Machan)but only made it to 80% on the second (somewhere?) might have made it to the top if I was not conscious that it was still a long way back and that I was with a very strong runner. Really pleased that the hill climbing was better. We did not do the third hill (Twmbarlwm) as short of time which was a shame as I am not sure how many pieces Mark would have broken me into. Instead we ran along the canal at what seemed to be quite an honest pace.
A really good session and hope to be repeated. I have done few sessions like this in recent times but it was pretty standard to do this sort of thing reasonably regularly as M21. I don't think the local young guns do this but it does help with stamina.
Only downside is that knee is a bit sore which could either be the canal or lots of downhill
Ran fairly straight from Wootton to Dursley and then back along the CW. A little longer than I had hoped, and quite weary towards the end I suspect that I had quite a lot of wine yesterday and needed to get it out of the system.
As I had not run the day before I did not take Ibuprofen before I ran, not a great idea as both knees were quite stiff and painful towards the end
