Checking and putting out controls.
Actually in the forest for 8 hours finishing with headlight. Tripped late on and bizzarly a sharp fern went up my nostril and so blood everywhere. Not stirred but badly shaken.

orienteering race 1:16:20 [5] 9.6 km (7:57 / km)

WIM -random bit of open New Forest and not a gallopen Map must have been very cheap to print because there was very little detail. Heather was low and whole race was lightning fast. It would have been Keith Agmen's nightmare. New forest is so nice it was very enjoyable - silly and time consuming mistakes to control 8 - mostly because I was chasing an old guy who annoyingly was going faster. Called a bit of a time out and orienteered the rest of the race. the fast terrain was actually a bit of a wake up call.
11 AM

off road 12:00 [2] 1.0 mi (12:00 / mi)
